This is awkward. I mean, it’s awkward for you too, right? I don’t know anyone who likes writing about themselves, but here I am, trying it anyway. I could write in the third person and pretend it’s someone else writing this, but we both know the truth. Let’s not pretend.
I write. A lot of people write, but I like to think I do a pretty decent job at it. I like to write science fiction and fantasy where I can make up my own worlds. That way, no one can tell me I’m wrong about how the world works.
I edit. I like helping people who have knowledge reach the people who can learn from them. You can spend a lifetime learning about a subject and still not know where to put commas. So I’ve spent the last 7 years editing a peer-reviewed journal.
I like cats. I don’t think I’ve reached crazy cat lady status yet, but there are as many cats in my household as there are people. It’s when they start to outnumber the humans that you have to worry. At least, that’s what I tell myself.
